Accidentally Discovering New Authors
One of the best things about going to a bookstore on a random Saturday is discovering a new author because they are having a book signing that day. I recently visited Half Price Books in Cedar Park where author Alex R. London was holding such an event. I enjoyed chatting with him briefly and was impressed that he was already a seasoned author at a seemingly young age.
I purchased the first book in The Armean Journals, The Stranger's Orphan. The tale is told through each of the six main characters, some who already know each other and some whose paths cross as the story progresses. Intrigue, mystery, magic, and dragons are woven throughout, which kept me up past my bedtime on several nights because I wanted to read "just one more chapter."
